Hi, My Project pulldown menu is MISSING! My menu bar reads as follows: File, Edit, View, Transport, Tracks, Generate, Effects, Analyze, Help . I have tried to find it within the Toolbars (in the View menu), but it wasn't there. How do I get it to show? Did I not install it yet or something? ...

You should probably download and install Audacity 1.3.12 from here... http://audacityteam.org/download/ Audacity 1.2 is very old and no longer supported. I have just installed ver 1.2.6 which came with my new cassette to mp3 player. When I plug the cassette player into the usb port and try to record, I am not getting any audio. I have to record a whole piece and unplug the player before sound will return to my speakers. In other words I can't listen ...

After selecting part of the project non of the items in the drop down list are available i.e. cut trim etc, they remain dimmed
