Popping noise upon open and close of track

... production side. I should be able to take the work I have and fix it at the source rather than just glossing over an export with these pops. Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Another one of those error while opening sound device issues

... preferences, Audacity disappears from the volume mixer. I don't know what that's all about. I can play audio tracks, just can't record them. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
