1) Import de file into Audacity (File menu -> Import -> Audio)

2) Select the part of the track between 1:50 and 2:15

3) Delete the selection (press Delete/Backspace key or Cmd-K or Edit menu -> Delete)

4) Export the new file (File menu -> Export)

When it happened, did you try to "undo"? (Ctrl-Z or Edit menu -> Undo)

What operating system do you have? And which audacity version? (Help menu -> About)

The same thing happened to me again last night! After I'd put a lot of work into a remixed song over the weekend, I found that parts of various tracks were silent, in spite of the waveforms showing. Something I have done that could have caused the problem is delete those duplicates marked "old1...
