... make it explicit that obviously sox can't process audacity project files... So if you have all the shows saved as audacity projects only it won't help much unless you export all of them as WAV, FLAC or similar...

Do you have any utilities running on your computer that automatically clean up temporary files?
What exact version of Audacity (Help menu > About Audacity) and what version of Windows?
Did you leave Audacity recording while you were away from it?

A "pop filter" between the microphone and your mouth can help prevent pops.

I don't think we are going to be able to offer help or support for Audacity 1.2.6 on Vista. It is known to have multiple problems and bizarre behaviour on Vista so none of us use it.

... end up with one folder with one file in it. Regarding the plug-in I think what I'll need to do is to make it case sensitive and add a note in the help file to say that is the case.

As Koz has indicated, most of the visitors to this forum are total beginners looking for help, so it may not be the best place to advertise the job, but if you either lower the expectation or raise the fee, then you may attract more interest.
