So with the cfg file, I found a help forum that suggested to reset the preferences, I looked here http://wiki.audacityteam.org/index.php?title=Audacity_Preferences and then I did as instructed on this so now the cfg file just says NewPrefsInitialized=1 ...

... I cannot get the Nectar plug in to show up in the effects menu. I followed all of the above steps and suggestions but still no dice. Any help would be appreciated.

I am a new audacity user and I want to export my files in mp3. I have been trying to access lame.buanzo.com.ar for a day and it just won't come up. Is there trouble with the site? Is there anywhere else to get the mp3 encoder?
