Im using windows 7 and when I use Audacity to edit a piece of audio the audio fades in and its difficult to edit the begining or the song. When I press stop and try again its ok but its getting on my nerves. Can anyone help me please.

been using audacity to record several vinyl albums with no problems at all. just tried to record another and the AK5371 option is no longer there. help needed please.
