Seeking a codec/filter that will help me mimic radio chatter
Thanks for the great product. I'm going to be making sound files for a flight simulator and want the audio output to sound filtered/distorted in the manner of military radio comms. There are so many codecs available for Audacity, can anyone recommend one? Or might such a thing already be incorporate...

Re: HELP !!!!! PLEASE......
Maybe I'm asking the wrong questions....What do I have to do to lessen the input signal into my computer to stop the clipping and get clean recordings in audacity? If the Behringer unit doesn't do that, what will? Or do I have to add some other external device? Thanks for being patient with me. Whil...

You can't rise signal parts which don't exist. So we have to generate them. This is done by soft-clipping the high frequncy band like in a diode ...

Recording Vinyl into Audacity Help
My setup is a Kam BDX900 USB turntable and a Dell Inspiron with SRS Premium Sound with Reason 7. I've also used the turntable on my home PC and it works fine when recording vinyl into audacity. I've been trying to get it working with the laptop, but when i record, the audio comes out incredibly loud...

Re: Aligning 2 tracks ...if one has different speed
My problem is about recording a piano player & singer IN THE SAME TIME by 2 differet microphones (connected to 2 diferent PCs). 1st microphone took the voice from the singer, 2nd one was close to the piano. Now, I would like to mix the 2 different tracks adjusting proper balance between them. I...

Re: TAL-Noisemaker VST
Ah ha. Thanks very much Gale. So I think I need another program to help me use TAL-Noisemaker synth. If anyone knows one, please let me know. In the meantime, your instructions have helped me get access to VST effects, if I'm not mistaken, which I'm sure will be useful in future...
