Re: Recording Vinyl into Audacity Help

Most laptops tend to have only a MIC input and not a Line-in input. A mic input is expecting a much lower sound level than line-level. I want to adj. EQ while listening to play back?

Hi All,

I would like to be able to listen to the play back, and adjust the EQ live, or on the fly.

Is this possible?

Thanks for your help.

Re: Seeking a codec/filter that will help me mimic radio cha

You can start by applying the equalizer tool in the "telephone" setting: drop everything below 300 and above 3000. There may even be a pre-baked filter that does this.

Then apply Effect > Leveler about three times at maximum compression.
