I opened the .aup file which opend up in Audacity and then went to File > Export and saved with the mp3 fromat. Once it finished I clicked play and I could hear it. Now its a matter of trying to figure out on how to get it to cd.

Hi, from what you are saying it's most likely a problem with Audacity then with MP3 export. I will switch to 1.3.12. many thks for your help and suggestion
