So we need a sample of the original material -- the cockpit capture. Mix it down to mono and Export as FLAC. Post that. I think we have a 2MB file limit.

and I know its not possible to get the file perfect, and incidently as far as i know, that band never released that cover on iTunes or on CD, so I wouldn't consider it piracy. I just need some help to try to clean up the file as well as i can

Yipppie!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it worked. I pluged it in from the back in the line in plug. Now cross my fingers, hopefully I can burn it with no problems,lol. Thank you so much for your help-very appreciated!

... if it is because in Audacity Preferences I choose Samson also for the playback option, should I choose my PC speaker for the playback ? Would you help? Thanks Anna

will the new version of Audacity work well with Windows XP? that's what's running on my computer.

It runs well on my Windows XP machine at work.

... Then restart the computer and see if you have the same problems. Many of the elves on the forum no longer run Audacity 1.2 and will not be able to help you in that version. Koz
