... recording to something as close as possible to a natural female warm voice that doesn't sound artefact? It's a sound card setting. Go into your sound card settings and disable all effects and enhancements - search thoroughly, some of them may be well hidden. The main culprit may be called something like "Noise Reduction" or "Echo Cancellation", but turn off all effects and enhancem...
