I bought some records at the Austin Record Convention this past weekend and was able to listen briefly. After changing a record, the turntable keeps returning. ... If you do, then that has nothing to do with "bit rate". It is caused by your sound card settings. Windows is attempting to "help" you by changing the recording level. To fix the problem you need to go into the Windows Control Panel and switch of the sound card "enhancements", ...
