Re: Recording audio from sound board

If I split the stereo track and play just one channel, I still get only static. I talked to a sound guy I know, and he agreed that it is probably the unbalanced/balanced cable issue. Thanks for all your help!

Re: Noise removal help from my voice recordings

Hi steve, thank's very much for your reply and i really became a fan of you for such help. I am not sure how to use the equalization step you have mentioned to apply. Could you please explain more clearly how to do that step?

Re: Guitar Amp to Computer Hum

Hi Steve Thanks to your significant help, I've got a result. Not the result that I envisioned but one I'm very happy with. I'm not using the amp for monitoring but the headphones which are connected to the UCA202. The clarity (and lack of hum) ...

Re: HELP - set up to RECORD streaming on Audacity Beta probl

You may be looking at the old (1.2.x) instructions.
Here's some instructions for Audacity 1.3.x http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Mixer ... trol_Panel

Note also that the standard Windows installation of Audacity includes the manual (in the Help menu).

Re: Noise removal help from my voice recordings

Slight improvement on the last post. Use the following code in step 3 (also removes 57 Hz hum) (notch2 (notch2 (notch2 (notch2 (notch2 (notch2 (notch2 (hp s 20) 57 10) 210 20) 420 20) 629 30) 839 40) 1048 50) 1257 60) In step 4, the Noise Removal settings can then be softened: Noise Reduction: 20 Se...

Re: Noise removal help from my voice recordings

You're asking for miracles. The noise level is very high, the recording level is too high and has caused clipping to occur, there is significant DC offset and the sample rate is a bit too low. I would guess that most of the noise is produced by the sound card, which I guess is the built-in sound car...
