Re: NEED HELP ASAP. Software Fails!!
Go to System Preferences, the Sound panel, then the Output tab. What options do you have there? Start Audacity. Go to Audacity > Preferences, the Devices section. What have you chosen for the Playback Device? I'm using the 1.3 beta version 1.3.12? 1.3.13? 1.3.10? It makes a difference. -- Bill

Re: NEED HELP ASAP. Software Fails!!
I just want the audio to play through my computer speakers. Nothing else. No recording. I can't hear any sound. I went into my system preferences and I get an input meter that shows the sound is coming in but the output in my computer does play the music when I have my speakers selected.

Re: NEED HELP ASAP. Software Fails!!
"Start Monitoring" is only available on the input meter dropdown menu, and it is there to help you "monitor" (listen to) the input signal without recording. What are you trying to do? Are you saying that when you play back a recording you cannot hear it? ...

NEED HELP ASAP. Software Fails!!
In the software next to the speaker output icon I do not have the option to "Start Monitoring" like I do in the input "microphone icon". It's missing and it's the only way to play the sound through my computer. Can anyone help?

How to auto-amplify in chain
... the amplification level must be set. Is there a way to have amplify automatically set the amplification level when used as a chain command? Any help will be greatly appreciated (even if this needs to be done via Nyquist commands). Thanks!
