What version of Windows? What three-digit version number of Audacity (see Help > About Audacity)? Whatever version of Audacity, you must be able to select the Firewire Device itself in Devices Preferences. It sounds as If you can do that, but if it is not there ...

I have attached the beginning of a song where you can hear the guitar (i think thats guitar) strings switching back and forth between the speakers. It ads a nice effect. I notice it a lot when wearing headphones.
