... packages. Mepis is debian based so you should have synaptic available, or you can use apt-get on the command line. Let us know if you need help with that. I have the latest mepis package, compiling is a pain. I will DL the latest TAR and see how I go

Thanks Bill. I have read that. I understand that I can fix the tracks by re-aligning them after they're recorded. But I need to reduce the latency when I'm playing. It's impossible to stay in time with the previously recorded tracks due to the delay. Will a better soundcard help?
