Re: Help PLEASE!!!!
Ok, i'm not very clued up on computers so i'll try to answer your questions as best i can.
I'm using Audacity 1.3 beta on my laptop.
I'm trying to record a dj mix straight in to the laptop. I'm guessing it's in the right port cos there's only 2 ports, 1 of which being for the headphones.

Re: Need just a bit of help compiling with LADSPA categories
To enable effect categories you need to find the line: //#define EFFECT_CATEGORIES in /src/Experimental.h uncomment that line so that it reads: #define EFFECT_CATEGORIES I did this I could not find any line with #define USR_SLV2 1 in it so I added #define USR_SLV2 to the file experimental.h (with n...

Re: Units in Waveform/Waveform(dB) PLEASE HELP!!!
The default measurements along the left edge are percent. 1 = 100%. 0.5 = 50%. 100% is where the sound channel runs out of numbers and stops dead. No further increase is possible. This can cause clipping and severe crunchy sound damage if you try to put a very loud show up there. Audacity throws mud...

Re: How to amplify after noise removal w/out adding noise
... whistley R2-D2 compression artifacts are incurable. There are de-reverb tools which reduce reverberation, but don't bother as they aren't going to help in a severe cases like yours, (and they can be horrifically expensive).
