I see your point. I do have Audacity but I have not been able to figure out how to capture. I shall take your advice and dig in and use audacity.Thanks for the help.

How do I stop or remove the Echo or Reverberation while recording. Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated. I am using Win 7, and Audacity Beta. I am recording through the Mic jack on my sound card. Recording Audio books that we recorded of the radio onto cassettes many years ago.

I just wanted to say thanks for the help that I got. But I figured out the problem on my own. One I needed to find the updated sound drivers for my sound card. Two only the outlets on the sound card will work.I am now able to record, and hear it also.

Did all that. Reinstalling did not help. I renamed audacity.cfg and checked devices immediately, still nothing there. I was hoping that installing with PulseAudio already installed would fix it. I did, however, record all the output from configuring, ...

Maybe you guys can help me. I have an audio tape that I am trying to get sent to my laptop in digital form. I bought a Avermedia dvd ezmaker in an effert to send it over but to no avail. Looking for any help as this is a really important tape that I need to get to a digital form so I can fix it up.
