No bass just highs.

I have windows 7 and i am able to record through stereo mix (realtek high def) but doesnt record the lows... the highs sound good but cannot find a solution to get a balaced track.

any help much appreciated, thanks

Recovery problem

... isn't corrupted, it just isn't being recognized by Audacity, even though earlier today the autosave feature worked perfectly fine. Can someone help me get it to load? Thanks :)

@CaptainSlow if you are reading, what version of Audacity do you have on Debian 6.0 (see Help > About Audacity)? Audacity's version on debian stable (6.0 aka Squeeze) is 1.3.12. CaptainSlow's post is from June 10th, at that time debian's audacity build was 1.3.12-3. ...

Hi, I just installed audacity and tried recording but everytime I record the meter of the microphone is constantly in red even if I turn my master on my mixer nearly out he's still to loud and if you listen your recording it is just a hard noise or you hear the music like you are recording under wat...

... of quirks and issues with sound on linux and the fact that most sound card manufacturers don't provide drivers or support for linux also doesn't help getting it more stable...

The Doppler effect would do the justice for me. but I assume that there are no plug-ins of this effect available for free, right? I checked google and no luck.

Edit : never mind, I just found a possible one, need to check if it compatible with audacity. It's called "ADopplerEn2"
