... I stop talking for a minute or two. It's quite possible that is exactly what is happening. Skype is notorious for doing this - it's only trying to help, but it really messes up recordings. Are you sure that you don't have Skype or some similar program running in the background?

Yes, they seem to be in order even numbered left channel, and odd right channel... or maybe vice versa. either way piecing together 3800 sound files is not something I would like to do manually... wondering if there's a way to automate the process and how exactly i would go about doing such a thing....
