Have you imported an audio file into your project? If so, and if you are using 1.3.13, the problem is probably with the metadata ...

I deleted the _data files, but kept the audacity project files. That seems to work just fine. I have burned the projects to CDs and they are also available in iTunes. Thank you for the help.
