If you are really using Audacity 1.2, try 1.3.13 Beta (works on OS X 10.4 or later).

It's not very likely to help directly, but if you are on OX 10.6 or 10.7, 1.2 is not very stable.

Trying to Record a Mix from Serato Scratch Live

... It was also most like it stopped recording the actual sound from the mixer and started recording a microphone from my laptop, possibly?? Any help appreciated. Cheers

I doubt that changing the page size will help. As soon as the system starts swapping data between ram and hard drive then you are already into major slowdown. You may be able to get some improvement if you optimise your computer so that there ...

... tried to normalise my files to the same volume. As I told in the other posts I export them to e new foulder and then it was O.K. Hope to be of any help,thanks again for your concern ;-).
