Tonight, Audacity started doing the "Windows is sorry but Audacity has to close" thing - as music is being opened for conversion (it was doing JUST FINE ten minutes earlier).

I've restarted, and the stuff Windows is showing isn't any help.

Any ideas?

... could there be a setting in preferences that is causing this or my computer??? Windows XP, processor is Pentium 4 2.8GHz with 1.99GB of RAM. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I can't install audacity 1.3 (any version) on my macbook (intel - 32bit - OSX 10.5).
It makes VST scanning than..crash! I've tried to moove away vst from vst's folder in the library but without results!
somebody has ideas to help me?

Can anyone help with tranporting save Audacity file to another Audacity user - I want to send file via email so as the editing can be carried on by another user and then returned to me

... works!!! Recording levels perfect, can now convert to mp3 as well! Have no idea why it's now behaving itself but. Excellent. Thanks for your help anyway. 8-)
