Audacity was working fine until yesterday when any attempt to record has scratchy distortion as well as a slap-back echo??? I'm using all the same settings and mic but cannot figure out what has happened. Any help greatly appreciated -

Could you look in the Audacity "Help menu > About Audacity" and check the full version number. Is it "Audacity 1.3.13 Unicode"?

... the transcription toolbar are what I'm looking for, but the maximum playback speed is 3x. Is there any way to achieve a faster playback speed? Any help would be appreciated. Tom
