There's no obvious reason why increasing the sample rate to 96 kHz should help with issue. Did you change anything else at the same time? (increasing the sample rate to 96 kHz raises the Nyquist frequency so that frequencies above 20 kHz can be represented digitally, ...

I was having a problem with my bass getting a strange buzzing noise for a while. Turning the sample rate up to 96000Hz+ seemed to fix it for the most part. Don't know if this will help or not.

Vertical Scale Alignment
... the scale. The lower half of the signal has more dark blue than does the top. And the sound isn't quite right. I've tried Shift Clicking and that helped some but the problem still exists. It used to line up perfectly. Any help from you all would be appreciated. Thanks, Fred

All the settings were fine. On a whim, I decided to change the location of the temp folder and that seems to have done the trick. We'll find out as time goes by though.

For the Alsa? I did the same steps. Nothing is getting recorded, except some weird distorted clicks.
