I am trying to export to the WAV file, not save it as one but nothing is happening. I record OK as I can play back a perfect recording whilst I am in Audacity. I then ex[port and the file is blank. Are these recorded tracks in the same project? And is the exported file a valid file of the expected ...

Are you sure that you are using Audacity 1.2.x?
(if in doubt, look in "Help > About Audacity".)

Recorded another podcast last evening. I saved the recording after roughly every 30 minutes, and did not have the problem. Hopefully this was some fluke and will not occur again.

I meant to say that I want to hear the music coming from the speakers, whilst listening to the other tune, as in 'Software Playthrough'.
