You didn't say what was your budget. Usually you get what you paid for. If you're buying from thomann have a look a their T-Bone mics. They usually have a ver good quality/price ratio. YES like that!

Thanks for the help! I will try it also on my more audible breathing and see of that takes away the quieter parts of the rest of the reading.

And the dummy who doesn't understand Latency chimes in with, so what you are saying is there is only hardware fixes and now way to make it work from my computer?

... Preferences > Quality to 16-bit instead of 32-floating. Restart Audacity. The microphone must be plugged in when Audacity starts. Did that help? Koz
