Hello,
I have W7 and audacity 1.3.13.
If I try recording the waveform stays completely flat as it would be muted. The input is set to "Primary sound capture" and volume to maximum.
I have no problem recording with "real player".
What am I doing wrong?

If your USB device keeps coming and going, then you may have a bad USB cable or the tape machine itself could be bad. That's not normal.
