Final mix - Match wave form/amplify/normalise - Help
Hi Guys, I hav just recorded a mix on my Macbook running OSX 10.6.8 using Audacity 1.2.5. The final mix is good, but there is slight sound decrease in the middle and then the mix picks up again. What are the main objectives to process a final mix for mp3. I guess the 3 major contenders are Normalise...

... the USB Device > Properties, clicked the "Levels" tab, then made sure the device is unmuted and the slider turned up? If that does not help, have you checked the USB cable is working correctly? Does it work with another USB device? Gale

Ed: I'll be getting a new iMac in the next month or so. I'm more than willing to learn how to build Audacity and test patches, but I'd need some hand-holding from a Mac guru until I get it running. Also I know there are issues with XCode 4 - I don't know if any of the Mac developers are using it yet...
