Is your computer capable of recording sounds that are playing on the computer? If you are using Windows, the information here may help you to determine if you can or not.

The manual is not included in the ZIP version of Audacity 1.3.x (this is to make the ZIP version a smaller download). The manual is included in the .EXE installer which is available here: http://audacityteam.org/download/beta_windows

Which version of Audacity are you using? (Look in "Help > About Audacity" for the full and complete version)

If you downloaded audacity 1.3.13 (latest beta) from audacity website, then it should include the manual. On Audacity if you go to the Help menu and select "Manual" doesn't it open the manual in your web browser? Hi Thanks a lot for your response. I am using the latest version of ...
