Also, as already mentioned, the tracks may record slightly out of sync. If they are out of sync on playback, that is what's called latency. There is a description of a good test/setup for latency in the Help files.

So Steve, I downloaded the microsoft file suggested, ran the repair tab, and guess what.............it worked perfectly!! Runs fine now.

msvcp90.dll and msvcr90.dll may be hidden files or in a hidden folder so when searching for them hidden files need to be included in the search options. Having said that the files may not be present, in which case I think that you may be able to just copy them from the Audacity folder into C:Windows...
