Glad you recovered your work. Too bad there's "bad" answers out there, but that's the internet.
I always create a folder to each project. The .aup file and the _data folder live in that folder. If I need to move it, I just move the folder.

Re: Seeking Help on Streamiling Workflow
On Mac, Cmd+M is the system-wide "minimize window" command, so on Mac the Audacity command for "Add Label at Playback Position" is Cmd+<period>. Yes, Koz, I'd love to have hot keys for "In" and "Out" as well, but this user wants multiple In and Out points whil...
Re: HELP!
Thanks Bill, I had a panic for a second because I googled it and found someone's answer saying that you couldn't get them back together once you'd broken the link. But you can and I did, thanks!

Re: Seeking Help on Streamiling Workflow
I'd like to be able to hit a key to set the start time during playback, then hit another key to set the end point. Is there anyway to do this with audacity? Those are Edit Markers as in a video editor. We've been requesting those for years. The best you can do is the labels, the label track and the...

This advice is a little late, but your computer is probably the least reliable gadget you own!!! If you are recording something critical, where there's no possibiity of "take-2", I recommend a backup system recording in parallel. And, it's a good idea to take notes even if you are using a ...

Re: Seeking Help on Streamiling Workflow
Hi WC, Thanks for the reply. I don't think I was very clear when I explained what I was trying to do. But first off, these are not songs, they are long lectures already in WAV format that I import into an audaicty track. Secondly, most of the time, I am editing and extracting segments (I guess we ca...

Re: New to Vinyl Archiving - needing some tips
... I tried changing the needle and lowering recording levels etc and no luck yet. The turntable I bought is a Vibe Sound USB model VS-2001-USBT. Any help or thoughts would be appreciated. If I can't get better quality, I'll be sadly returning the thing.
