so i had this 2 hour long project saved on my pc. my windows vista started to show signs of corruption (froze after 5 mins of use) and had it fixed by a friend who installed windows 7 , the location of the project (the .aup and _data) were saved on a diferent place and were relocated after installin...

The best thing you can do for us is write back and tell us the shoot went OK.

Thank you Bill. That succeeded in allow me to record without the error message, but the recording is quite distorted. Any oher ideas?

That error message means you need to set the sample rate and format in Audacity to be the same as on the FastTrack Pro.
