I updated my Audacity to 2.0 and now I can't record, whats gone wrong and can I get the old version back?

a Radio automation/animation software that would let me put in music and sound bits on a hot key so that I could just click and play and have it come up when I wanted it to. Come up where? Where does the sound come from when you press the hot key? Are you listening to the mixer with your headphones...

... work. I should also mention that the loaded files will play the music you just can;t do anything with them. I am using Windows XP Pro SP 3 Early help will be appreciated
