hi i have only just bought a behringer mixer and i have installed all the drivers on my laptop and it works fine but when i try to record on to Audacity it is showing just a line event though i have my ipod pluged in i am using windows 7 os when i switch recording devices e.g microphone on the lapto...

I am new to Audacity and not great on a computer. I can do basics like deleting sections and pitch changes but that's it. I lead a Seniors singing group and want to cut together songs to make medleys. Can anyone point me to a section in one of the manuals or give me some tips to help me.

@alterbentzion: have you tried installing FFmpeg then use File > Import > Audio in Audacity and choose "FFmpeg-compatible files". This will use a different importer to import the files.
