Look in the Tracks Preferences [ http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/Tracks_Preferences ] and uncheck "Select all audio in project if none selected". After that, all editing operations will be unavailable unless a selection is made.

Recording Stops after 1 Hour
... did it. Any suggestions? I was able to successfully record almost 2 hours using Garage Band, so I don't think it's a computer setting issue. Any help would be appreciated.
