Distortion but no clipping showing

Audacity has only limited support for VST effects. Not all effects are supported, but you do need to follow the instructions carefully.

Then you select the Presonus device in the Device Toolbar an start recording.
When you do that, do you see any indication of sound in the recording meter?
Does the cursor move across a new track in Audacity?
Is there a wiggly blue waveform appear?

Gale, Thanks for your help. I followed your recommendation and fixed the problem. Somehow, the default sample rate for playback for "Speakers and Headphones" in Windows got set to 48000 Hz. I changed it back to 44100 Hz, then ...
