Using Audacity 2, everything I record using a mic gets recorded in a speeded up way, like cartoon voice. I looked everywhere in the GUI and in forums, getting no solution.

And if very low (inaudible) frequencies are present at high amplitude - then your "quality hi-fi speakers" can get seriously damaged as they attempt to reproduce that stuff. You may want to consider filtering out the ultra-LF with the High Pass Filter - see: http://manual.audacityteam.org...

Interesting... I actually stream live and it's video too. I use XSplit to help with the live streaming and I noticed that after the podcast the voice of the other person WAS recorded on Xsplit. Why would that software allow multiple sources?
