... I don't know. Anyways: 1. I am using Audacity 2.0.1. 2. When I import exported MP3 files back into Audacity, they work just fine. Again, any help is appreciated.

Thanks for trying to help Koz, I'm just fed up with trying to record something, i thought getting a reasonable interface would simplify things but i'm further from my goal than ever, as you may gather i am not very computer orientated, ...

error trying to record audio

... but I don't know what the project sample rate is. I tried a different wav editor a while back and had a similar error message. If someone could help me I would appreciate it. Here are my computer specs: intel core 2 duo 2.2 ghz running windows 7 64 bit. thanks

... quality settings and the "Part 1.WAV", as this scenario seemed more prone to issue, if you do not mind doing that. Thanks for your help. Gale I got the error on Part 1.WAV the very first time I tried it with the 2.0.2 alpha using 16 bit. mdubin

... takes about 30 sec for each file so if I don't find a faster way of doing this it's going to take me around 300 hours which is ridiculous. please help!
