Re: Exporting music to CD burning softward
Whoops Audino, getting a bit personal there, aren't you? :o I asked for help not insults. I have already admitted my mistakes by asking for help and with the required help I have found the one small step (which, I might add, isn't mentioned in any instructions) ...

... frustrating when I just can't get my head around something. I always knew it would be one small thing which was going wrong and thanks to help from the members of this forum I now know what it is. Set up in Properties instructed the file to open to Irfanview instead of Media Player so ...

Re: Audacity 2.x - More Resource Intensive?
... Did you turn Audio Cache off after recording as I suggested? You should not use cache for editing. If you used cache for recording, did it help? Just be aware that if you crash during a recording and audio cache is on, the recording cannot be recovered. That error log looks normal to me; ...

Re: ringmod.ny help?
What's your question? Is it that you can't get ringmod.ny to work, or that you can get it to work but it does not sound like you want it to sound? If the problem is that it is not producing the effect that you want, please post either a short sample, or a link to a short sample of the type of effect...

Re: VST Plug-ins
I'm not suggesting that you need a big budget to do that, but if you have some budget it will certainly help. Would around $70 be out of the question?bringe wrote: I was really wanting to use my own drums to give it a live sound

Re: VST Plugin Folder
Sorry I don't know how to do that but perhaps one of the Windows guys can help. What I was suggestion is that if you do manage to redirect Audacity to a folder with 200 VST plug-ins then there is a pretty good (bad) chance that one or more of them will stop Audacity ...

... long time ago. The exact method to do that changes from version to version of WMP and we don't know what version of Windows joanh has, so we can't help. Hopefully CDBurnerXP will be more intuitive. Gale

file size of audio file after exporting
Why does the size of my audio file remain as large as the unedited version after I export it? For example, I export a 25 second clip from a 3 minute audio file and the size is exactly the same. What could I be doing wrong in the process? Thanks for your help.

Re: VST Plugin Folder
Thanks, but that doesn't really help... I'm aware of all of Audacity's capabilities. What I need to know is how to edit the registry's default VST folder. This way Audacity will be pointed to my current folder. I just need to know what to ...
