How long did it take you to record your backing track? Drums only, or just a simple guitar guide track?

... the file? which i have no idea about am i doing this right? as i can record my vocals but its not picking up the background music if someone could help id grately appareciate it many thanks

... Honestly, I wouldn't no where to start with regards to what can be accomplished with Audacity's effects and features in version 2.X so any help will be most appreciated. Any VST plugins or expertise in this mater will be very helpful.

... you suspect a memory problem? It is quite possible Audacity became unable to write to the temp directory - maybe even due to lack of space. If so, Help > Show Log would have showed that. If you still have Audacity open, any error messages will still be there. Were you using an external disk for ...

... lines of C++ code. We work on Linux, Solaris and Windows workstations, but the target is an obscure real-time platform. A well thought out IDE can help keep such a project together. -- Ragnar

... you imported into Audacity - your recorder records in FLAC? If so, are you importing the FLAC file with the FLAC importer or libsndfile? Look at Help > Show Log which will list the importer used. The default on Linux is to use libsndfile. If you are using libsndfile, are you copying in the file ...
