Hi, I used to use this effect called MDS Overdrive, or something like that, in the old version of Audacity. I'm trying to look for that same effect to use in the new version of Audacity but can't find it

Problem solved. What I had to do was go into the Pulse Volume Control app and make sure that Line in was selected properly. Works fine. Thanks for your help anyway!!
