Re: Help! Recording saved into thousands of small files
Have you got the AUP file of the same name as the _data folder? Does it say "orphaned block files" when you try and open it? I would think it very likely because Audacity cannot save projects with more than 13.5 hours of audio at 44100 Hz Project Rate, cannot save more than 6.75 hours at 8...

Unexpectedly quit and lost everything
Hi,
I used the program to record an interview and while I was trying to figure out how to save the whole thing, Audacity "unexpectedly quit" and now all I have is 5 minutes of it. Is there anything I can do to get it back? Please help me.

... optionally use the Metadata editor during the export. Guess I will have to try it when I get a chance... Whatever the case, many thanks for your help Steve.

Desktop Preferences
On most sessions I stretch the track vertically and I would like each session to open with the blank track resized, I don't see that option in the Track Preferences page in the help file.

... if there's a simple way to 1) organize the files sequentially (they are named randomly), and 2) re-join them to create the one large file? Any help is appreciated. Thank you!
