Does it appear in Windows Device Manager? If it's not there, Audacity will never find it.

Re: Need Help with Audacity
If you installed Audacity 2.0.2 using the recommended installer, the manual will be available in the Audacity Help menu.
The manual open up in your web browser so it is easy to add "bookmarks" ("favourites").

Re: Doesn't Record Windows Sound
Hi,
It's a desktop that I custom built. When I want sound I use the headset. I don't have speakers hooked up to the computer, because all I have is a 7.1 system and it's too large for my desk. So I just use my headset.
But I have unplugged the headset while recording, and that still didn't help.

Hi...... Sorry for the major n00b question, but I couldn't find the answer in FAQ or in the manual.
I've imported an album into Audacity, but it's one long track and I'd like to separate those tracks.
Help?
Oh, I DL'd Audacity via dmg and I'm running Mac OS X 10.5.8

... Silence to trim them down to a second. This is a good way to do it, because it's repeatable if I want to do it again. Thanks for your help. Any suggestions for fading all the segments in and out?

Re: Need Help with Audacity
You need to split the recording into separate files before making the CD.bassucus wrote: But still as one CD with just one track for the whole CD. Am I doing something wrong...
See parts 4 and 5 of the tutorial that I gave the link to.
