Thanks. That's a help. The question about the dead space remains though as when I append, there will be some silent lead-in that will need to be deleted which will leave the same dead spot I'm experiencing now. Is there a way to avoid or remove that?

I tried that, too. Do you recommend using a pc to transfer the aud. file and convert it to mp3. I'm now getting a message saying that my disk is full.

Not Enough Disc Space
... someone can advise me what to do. I have recorded from my reel to reel deck with no problem in the past but hit a snag this time. Would appreciate help even though it probably involves my computer and not Audacity. Thanks, Jack B.

... correct? Due to the fact that the tracks are combined on each recording I can't use the tools to sync the tracks or adjust the individual tracks. Help.

Splicing
... appropriate timing, but each addition was separated from the prior verse by that dead spot. I searched the FAQs, but found nothing related. Any help with this problem will be much appreciated.
