Trebor, did you export your remix at 256kb? I usually use 256kbps, but as Koz says mp3, (even at 256kbps), is going to add more compression damage because mp3 is lossy compression format. Thanks for all the help. Changing connection over from TRS to TS helped somewhat but hiss still present. Any particular sound card or specific manufacturer you would recommend? BTW, what is the thing plugged into your 58?

Thank you so much! I'm still not convinced I've done everything correctly but I've done some test recordings, saved them as MP3's in a couple different places and am able to replay them. That's all I need to do!
