When saving to MP3 I want to keep recorders name!
Hi
when saving a certain part of the recording, the box that appears asks for name of the recorder, name of species/cut etc..
Can I /could someone do so I do not need to type my own name each and every time I save a file?
This would help a lot!!
Yours Stein, Norway

Re: Attempting to Record LFN.. Help!
The low frequency component can be isolated and amplified using the Equalization effect. This file is inaudible on my laptop speakers (they are too small to reproduce such low frequencies) but very clear on my big speakers or headphones. Is this the sound that you hear? As others have said, you need...

Re: Attempting to Record LFN.. Help!
As Koz says you will have to obtain a rumble-free comparison to confirm the 19Hz peak is the mystery sound and not an artifact. I've often seen peaks on recordings around 20Hz which are artefacts, i.e. they are generated in the apparatus and appear on all recordings. BTW I can tell when my neighbou...

Now we need the control clip on a night without the rumble. Same settings so we do a direct comparison. Koz

Re: Attempting to Record LFN.. Help!
I did a simple amplify and analyze and there is a very significant bump at 19Hz -- just below where most people's hearing stops. It's the majority contribution in that sound clip. Nothing else comes close. You do have a lesser 49Hz bump which I attribute to the 50Hz power in your country. If I liste...

Re: Attempting to Record LFN.. Help!
Well, this is it: a recording with the microphone firmly up against the dividing wall (I've been waiting to get the loudest night of LFN for weeks now and tonight was the night, the sound has been carrying through the house unabated); I have to say that I can detect no difference when using the Ampl...

Recording with Stereo Mix not working?
... of using Stereo Mix as an input (before downloading I did not have the Stereo Mix option). I'm posting this in the hope that someone out there can help me out to get things back to the way they were working before my hard drive crashed. I would really like to be able to record using the Stereo ...
