The original project name is burned into the AUP file. They will not open up as copies. Clean up your experiment to avoid conflicts (if needed) and rename both back to the original names and the show should open.

... you can see, I'm not getting that problem, so we need to find what you are doing different. Which version of Audacity are you using (look in "Help menu > About Audacity"). Assuming that you are using the current version, could you describe step-by-step how I can reproduce the problem.

Thanks for the help, Gale! Editing the audacity.cfg didn't work. Eventually what I did was to delete Waves from Applications. I was then able to open Audacity. Then in Audacity I have disabled the AU support in Preferences. From ...

Can you export a WAV file a few seconds long containing some noise on its own followed by noise with some signal (audio you want to keep). See http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic ... 49&t=64936 for how to attach files.
