iTunes won't open CAF files containing Apple Lossless even on Mac. The reason Audacity is crashing is because the FFmpeg latest version for Audacity that you have (0.6.2) is crashing trying to import the file. hi i am new audacity i tried to record my song in i used the microphone on my ipad but when i hook the 3.5 jack in and selected mic it does record anything but when i pick headphone its records please help

You can turn it off by selecting View --> Show clipping. It'll probably have a tick next to it currently.

Still it doesn't "fix" the problem of what you are recording is clipping.

... I searched for a solution. The only results I could find were how to intentionally apply a Nyquist value. Does anyone have a simple solution to help me get rid of this bug and back to where Audacity just works? Thanks to any who reply! :roll:
