Hi Everyone, I hope someone can help me with this strange problem. I've re-installed Windows Vista Business on my PC, and want to use Audacity 2.0.3 on it to record and digitize my LPs. I've connected my USB-turntable, and adjusted the recording ...

Re: Audacity 2.0.3
... straightforward and I have the Behringer U-Phono UFO202 hardware, but it's useless unless I have the software, such as, Audacity. Hope that helps. I was suggesting that you try recording with Windows Sound Recorder as a test to help us diagnose the problem, not as a replacement for Audacity. ...

... don't want in "Sound", such as HDMI or S/PDIF. It is quite possible a specialised input or output could be the problem. If that does not help, set the UFO to Default recording device in Windows "Sound" (by right-clicking over UFO) then try to record in Windows Sound Recorder. ...

Re: newbie needs both immediate and longer term help
Built-in Input should be the stereo connection with the thin black circle and two black arrows on the side of your Mac. http://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/MacLineIn.jpg Make sure the plug is all the way in. Re: newbie needs both immediate and longer term help
bingo, built-in input, not microphone. (has a drop down). recording one mic on left and the other on the right.
I think that's how I should do it, then get all the sound equalized, and put it together in the end.

Re: newbie needs both immediate and longer term help
Audacity > Preferences > Devices > Recording > Device.
What is Audacity recording from? I bet it's not built-in Input.
Do you know where the built-in microphone is physically on your Mac?

Also, what settings do you currently have, and what other settings are available in the Device Toolbar?

I've been play with the set up today. seems pretty good. I'm getting good wave forms and good sound. the only issue is both mics are on the same track. I've pan one all the way to the left/the other to the right on both the PV6 and in audacity, no change. I've "Split Stereo Track" and &quo...
